Record title: Longest mother-daughter rangoli
The Rotary Club of Warora, Club No 28450, under President Rtn Amit Lohoti organised a 4.8 km long rangoli created by 3,000 pairs of mother-daughter duos on the theme of Save the Girl Child on the yet-to-be-opened flyover in Warora on Jan 5, 2013. The theme was picked because of the skewed sex ratio of 850 girls to 1,000 boys in Maharashtra. The rangoli creation started at 8.00 am and was completed at 10.30 am. The project director was Rtn Prahlad C Thak. Branded mugs and certificates were distributed to all the participants.
