Wearing green and brown clothes resembling roots, branches and leaves, 4,202 students of Pavendar Bharathidasan Groups of Institutions, Mathur, Trichy, Tamil Nadu formed a banyan tree on Oct 5, 2013. Bonding together as a banyan and carrying saplings, the students pledged to ‘Save Nature to Combat Global Warming’. The same day 4,500 saplings were planted in the institute’s campus.
